Who We Are,What We Do & How

Pakistan Association of Large Steel Producers (PALSP) is a registered trade Association with the Govt of Pakistan. Formally PALSP got registered with the Directorate General of Trade Organization (DGTO) in Sept 2020. During the same year it was registered with Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and later became member of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI). It comprises of about 52 members and with a market share of about 70% of prime steel making in the country.

PALSP comprises of Pakistan most reputed steel companies. Most of the big players in the long steel sector with state-of-the-art steel manufacturing technology are our members.

PALSP’s mandate is to work for the betterment of the long steel sector. Top of our responsibilities is working with different ministries as well as apex bodies like Federal Board of Revenue, National Tariffs Commission, Engineering Development Boards and many other organizations.

PALSP is committed for the transformation of the long steel sector of the country. It is relentlessly working for making the steel sector competitive, to promote quality steel making in the country, to promote fair competition in the country as well as to promote fair taxation system in the country. Above all our Association is keen to make Pakistan as a steel exporting country.

Since its inception the PALSP has made its presence felt in a big way and it has emerged as the leading representative body of Long Steel Sector. It is considered the most powerful voice of the long steel sector of Pakistan.

The ideals & the values that define members of PALSP include producing world quality steel, belief in ethical business practices, transparency in business and with a strong belief in serving Pakistan. The members of PALSP believe in contributing to the economy of Pakistan through fair business practices and our members take great Pride in contributing to the economy of the country.

PALSP has evolved and it is engaging leading research organization of the country as well as think tanks for a dispassionate analysis and comparison of Pakistan’s industry with regional as well as steel players worldwide.

Having a clear plan and direction drives steel Industry towards sustainable growth and organizational resilience. PALSP is always ready to address different issues and challenges of the industry that are common with our members and take-up the same with the Govt or with any concerned organization and all relevant stakeholders in the country.
